How you can help SoundSchool
SoundSchool is only possible through the continued help of our friends, supporters and charity partners. If you like what we do, we’d love to hear from you, here are just a few ways you can help.
Donations
SoundSchool funds the set up of its schools through your donations. We hold an annual ‘Fun’draising concert which is our primary source of revenue so the easiest thing you can help with is to come to the concert and bring everyone you know! The more people that come the more kids we can help play music. Simple.
If you can’t make it to our concert we’d still appreciate the support and you can donate here.

Fundraising
If you want to do more than rock up and rock out we welcome anyone that wants to help by raising money from sponsorship. Whether you want to run a marathon, busk for 24 hours straight or go to work in fancy dress for a week, we welcome anyone game to challenge themselves and raise money for our schools in the process. You can create your fundraising page and raise money for SoundSchool via Every Day Hero by clicking here including many local events.
Volunteering
Our schools, just like the organizations that house them, survive on the support of volunteers. If you’re a budding musician and you feel like dedicating the time to teach some children why not look into teaching at one of our SoundSchools. The kids absolutely love visitors and meeting new people who have a passion for music and want to help. Contact us.
Setting up a SoundSchool
Our goal is to set up a new SoundSchool every year, whilst sustaining our existing schools. If you know of a fantastic organisation that helps children who are in need of music in their lives please let us know. Better still if you actually want to get involved with setting up a school, this is also possible and is one of the most rewarding experiences one can do. Contact us.
Ideas
We are a creative thinking organisation and thrive from ideas and partnerships. This spirit enables us to work on projects that help spread the news and raise more funds for the schools.
An example of this is breaking the world record for busking in Bondi on July 30th working with Bondi FM, the Winter Magic Festival and Waverly Council. Ideas could range from fundraising suggestions, PR, advertising, teaching plans, school suggestions, you name it. If you have any ideas you’d like to share we’d love to hear from you. Contact us.
